The Siemens 6SL3120-2TE13-0AD0 is a SINAMICS S120 double motor module in booksize D-type format, converting a 600 V DC link into two independent 3AC 400 V outputs rated 3.0 A (2x1.6 kW) each. Combining two axes on one double motor module is more compact than two single motor modules when each axis stays within the 3.0 A rated / 9.0 A peak current window; an axis needing more current than that calls for a single motor module or a higher-current double module sharing the same DC link instead. Support for the extended Safety Integrated functions lets safe torque off and related safety states run at the drive level on both axes, reducing the external safety relay wiring a machine would otherwise need per axis. The 650 Hz output frequency limit under servo control versus 300 Hz under vector control reflects the different switching demands of each control mode on the same power stage.
