The Siemens 6SL3055-0AA00-5KA3 is a SINAMICS SME125 external sensor module for an EnDat absolute encoder with sin/cos 1 Vpp signals, a 100 kBaud SSI baud rate, and PTC/KTY temperature-sensor inputs with secure electrical isolation, rated IP67. It uses a 17-pin M23 measuring-system connector plus a separate 6-pin M17 temperature connector, drawing 0.16 A at 24 V DC; it is supplied without a DRIVE-CLiQ cable.

Selection Notes

Choose the SME125 over the SME120 when the motor needs absolute position feedback (EnDat, SSI) instead of incremental sin/cos, and over the smaller SME25 when winding-temperature monitoring through the dedicated 6-pin M17 connector is also required. The SME125 is the only module in this sensor-module line-up combining EnDat absolute feedback with PTC/KTY isolation.
