The Siemens 6SL3055-0AA00-5EA3 is a SINAMICS SME20 external sensor module for evaluating a sin/cos 1 Vpp incremental encoder in IP67-rated applications. It connects through a 12-pin M23 circular connector, draws 0.11 A at 24 V DC, and supports DRIVE-CLiQ cable runs up to 100 m to the drive control and 3 m to the measuring system; it is supplied without a DRIVE-CLiQ cable.

Selection Notes

Choose the SME20 for motors with a separate sin/cos 1 Vpp incremental encoder rather than an EnDat absolute encoder. The sin/cos-only signal means the drive re-references position on power-up, unlike the EnDat-based SME25 in the same sensor-module line-up. The IP67 rating and 12-pin M23 connector suit mounting outside a control cabinet, close to the motor.
