Schneider Electric XPSUEP14AP Preventa XPSU Cat. 4 24 V AC/DC Expansion 4 NO Safety Relay

The Schneider Electric XPSUEP14AP is a Preventa XPSU expansion module that adds 4 redundant NO safety outputs and 2 single NC outputs to an XPSUAF, XPSUAK, XPSUAT, XPSUDN or XPSUS base module via the safety extension bus. Powered at 24 V AC/DC, it reaches Category 4 / PLe per ISO 13849-1 and SIL 3 per IEC 61508. It cannot operate without a compatible XPSU base module.

Selection Notes

Choose the XPSUEP14AP when an existing XPSUAF13AP, XPSUAT13A3AP, XPSUDN13AP or XPSUS12AP base module runs out of NO/NC contacts for the downstream contactors or drives it needs to switch — it adds 4 redundant NO plus 2 single NC outputs over the safety extension bus without adding another independent safety loop to configure. Match its 24 V AC/DC supply to the base module's voltage class (use the XPSUEP34AP instead with a 48-240 V base module). It has no safety inputs of its own; all input monitoring stays on the base module.
