Schneider Electric TPRSM001 TeSys Island TPRSM SIL 2 24 V DC Safe Stop Interface Module

The Schneider Electric TPRSM001 is a TeSys island SIL interface module that implements a safe-stop function for compatible TPRSS SIL motor starters. It monitors an isolated 24 V DC switching input and drives a 1 NO potential-free relay output, meeting SIL 2 (IEC 61508), SILCL 2 (IEC 62061) and PL d category 2 (ISO 13849-1) in a single-channel architecture, and works only when connected to a TPRBC bus coupler.

Selection Notes

The TPRSM001 only adds value when paired with a TPRSS SIL motor starter and a TPRBC bus coupler on the same TeSys island DIN rail run; on its own it has no starting or protection function. Its category 0 and category 1 safe-stop options (immediate power removal versus a controlled stop delay) let it match the stopping category the machine's risk assessment calls for, and the SIL 2 / PL d single-channel rating means it can be used directly in a safety function without an external safety PLC, provided the rest of the safety chain meets the same performance level.
