The Schneider Electric TCSEGPA23F14FK is a conformal-coated Profibus DP V1 remote master that bridges an Ethernet Modbus TCP/IP network to Profibus DP V1 field devices for Modicon M340, M580 and Quantum PLCs. It acts as Profibus class 1 and class 2 master for up to 126 slave devices and operates across an extended -25 to 70°C ambient range.

Both variants share the same 126-device, class 1/2 Profibus master function and 2-port Ethernet Modbus TCP gateway, so the uncoated module remains the choice for a clean control room.

Applications

As a class 1 Profibus master, the module checks slave configuration at power-up, reads and writes DP slave I/O data, sets slave parameters, and transfers slave diagnostic data; as a class 2 master it issues Global CONTROL and Get Master Diag monitoring requests and performs acyclic DP V1 parameter reads and writes. It ships with two configuration DTM files on CD, one for the Modbus TCP communication channel and one for the PRM master itself, for use inside Unity software.
