The Schneider Electric TCSEGPA23F14F is a Profibus DP V1 remote master that bridges an Ethernet Modbus TCP/IP network to Profibus DP V1 field devices for Modicon M340, M580 and Quantum PLCs. It acts as Profibus class 1 and class 2 master for up to 126 slave devices, connecting through an integrated 2-port Ethernet switch and a Profibus Sub-D 9 port, and reaches 12 Mbit/s over 100 m without a repeater.

Applications

As a class 1 Profibus master, the module checks slave configuration at power-up, reads and writes DP slave I/O data, sets slave parameters, and transfers slave diagnostic data; as a class 2 master it issues Global CONTROL and Get Master Diag monitoring requests and performs acyclic DP V1 parameter reads and writes. It ships with two configuration DTM files on CD, one for the Modbus TCP communication channel and one for the PRM master itself, for use inside Unity software.
