Schneider Electric HMISTO705 Harmony STO 4.3-inch Wide Touch Panel RS-232 HMI Operator Panel

The Schneider Electric HMISTO705 is a 4.3-inch Harmony STO touch panel with a 480 x 272 pixel colour TFT display, 65536 colours, and an RS-232C serial link on a 9-pin terminal block. It runs on 12-24 V DC, uses an ARM926EJ-S processor with 26 MB application memory, and supports Modbus plus third-party PLC protocols.

Selection Notes

The HMISTO705 is the only panel in this Harmony lineup wired through a 9-pin RS-232C terminal block rather than a COM1 SUB-D or RJ45 port, which suits retrofits onto older serial-only PLCs. Its 12-24 V DC input range is wider than the fixed 24 V DC supply on the ST6 series, useful where supply voltage sags are a concern. ATEX Zone 2/22 certification sets it apart from the ST6 models for use near hazardous atmospheres.
