Choose the HMISTM6BOXIOT over the standard faceless HMI box variant in the same range when the role is IIoT data collection rather than remote HMI display — it ships with EcoStruxure Machine SCADA Expert runtime and Secure Connect Advisor pre-installed for OT-to-IT data pushing, while the plain BOX variant is built to drive a remote HMI faceplate instead. Both share the same ARM Cortex-A8 hardware, 24 V DC supply, and 2x Ethernet/1x COM connectivity, so the difference is entirely in the pre-loaded software role.
