The Schneider Electric HMISTM6BOX is a Harmony ST6 modular HMI box — a faceless rear module with no integrated display that drives an external monitor through the EcoStruxure Operator Terminal Expert Web viewer. It runs an ARM Cortex-A8 processor on Linux at 24 V DC, with two Ethernet ports, one RS-232C/RS-422/RS-485 COM port, and USB-A and micro-B ports.

Selection Notes

Specify the HMISTM6BOX when the application needs a Harmony ST6-class HMI but the operator face plate mounts away from the controller, or where no permanent screen is wanted at all — its display-port RJ45 output drives a remote STM6 faceplate or external monitor over the EcoStruxure Operator Terminal Expert Web viewer instead of carrying a built-in panel. Mount it on a DIN-rail adapter behind the enclosure door and route only the display cable and COM1/Ethernet wiring to the front.

Applications

Used behind machine enclosure doors where a separate STM6 faceplate or third-party monitor sits at the operator position and the controller itself mounts on a DIN rail away from the front panel, such as compact machine cells or retrofit panels with limited door space for a full HMI unit.
