Selection Notes

This is a base unit only: the HMIG3U is the Premium Box CPU enclosure with processor, memory, and communication ports, and it needs a separate Harmony GTU display module to form a working operator panel, so order both before installing. The dual Ethernet TCP/IP ports let it sit on two separate networks at once, for example a plant network and a machine-local control network, without an external switch. The expansion fieldbus card slot is the route to add a Profibus, CANopen, or DeviceNet interface beyond the built-in Modbus and Modbus TCP/IP support, for integrating with non-Schneider fieldbus devices on the machine. The 1 GB SD card holds the runtime application and recipe or data-logging files, so confirm available card capacity against project data-logging needs before committing to this base unit over a smaller-storage alternative.
