The Siemens 6GT2831-6BA60 is a SIMATIC RF1000 RF1070R access control reader with USB 2.0 and RS232 interfaces, reading Legic Prime, Legic Advant, ISO 14443 A/B and ISO 15693 transponders at 13.56 MHz plus optional BLE at 2.4 GHz. It includes an integrated antenna and a 1.8 m USB connecting cable, rated IP65 on the front after cabinet installation.

The RF1070R adds Legic Prime and Legic Advant on top of the ISO 14443 A/B / ISO 15693 support shared with the RF1060R, plus an RS232 fallback next to USB and optional BLE at 2.4 GHz. Choose it over the RF1060R when the site already issues Legic badges or needs a serial link to older access-control hardware; choose the PoE RF1170R instead when the reader must run without a local USB/RS232 host.

Applications

The dual USB/RS232 interface lets the RF1070R serve both new PC-based access points and legacy serial controllers in the same reader body, at 90 x 62 x 23.5 mm and 0.12 kg.
