The RF1060R is the only reader in this group built for USB 2.0 connection to a PC rather than a SIMATIC communication module, and it is the only one supporting ISO 14443 A/B, FeliCa, and HID iClass in addition to ISO 15693, at up to 424 kbit/s versus the 26.5 kbit/s radio rate of the RF200 barrel and cuboid readers. That multi-protocol support plus the 90 x 62 x 23.5 mm cabinet-front housing with IP65 front sealing fits it for card-based access control rather than the tag-on-part tracking the RF200 family targets. Its 4.5-5.25 V USB supply and 4 M4 cabinet screws also distinguish its installation from the 24 V DC, panel-mount RF200 readers.
