Selection Notes

This 24 V-in/24 V-out tap of the PSU3400 family regenerates and galvanically isolates a 24 V DC bus rather than changing voltage level - pick it over the 12 V or 48 V-input variants when the load needs a clean, isolated 24 V rail derived from an already-24 V source, for example downstream of a shared or noisy supply. The rated output steps up to 12.5 A briefly (12 A continuous to +40 degC) before the +60...+70 degC derating band applies, so cabinet ambient temperature sets the real usable current more than the 10 A nameplate figure. Galvanic isolation between input and output (SELV, ES1) is the main reason to choose a converter here instead of simply paralleling two 24 V supplies.

Applications

Regenerates and isolates a 24 V DC control bus for a downstream segment that needs its own protected, filtered 24 V supply - for example isolating a noisy drive or motor-control 24 V rail from a cleaner PLC/HMI 24 V rail fed from the same source.
