The Siemens 6EP1933-2EC41 SITOP UPS500S is a maintenance-free DC uninterruptible power supply module that bridges 24 V DC power interruptions using an internal capacitor energy store. Rated for 24 V DC input and 15 A output, it holds a 2.5 kWs energy reserve — enough to sustain full load for 3 seconds or a reduced load for up to 38 seconds — and reports status through a USB interface and floating relay contacts.

Selection Notes

The 15 A bridging rating covers three distinct scenarios rather than a single number: full 15 A load for 3 s, a reduced 10 A draw for 6 s, or 5 A for 15 s — the actual ride-through time depends on how much of the 15 A output the connected load draws. Applications needing longer coverage than the onboard 2.5 kWs capacitor bank provides can add an extension module instead of stepping up to a larger UPS. The USB interface plus floating OK/ALARM/BAT>85% contacts let the module report buffering state to a PLC without extra I/O wiring beyond the existing 24 V DC distribution.
