Selection Notes

The XB5AS9445 uses trigger-action mechanical latching with key release (key 455), so the stop function stays engaged until a keyholder with the matching key resets it - a step up from plain twist-release e-stops where any operator can reset the circuit. Positive opening on its 1 NC + 1 NO contact block (IEC 60947-5-1 Annex K) guarantees the NC contact opens mechanically even if the contacts weld, which is why it suits safety-stop circuits rather than general switching without positive opening. Its IP66/IP67/IP69/IP69K rating and plastic bezel target high-pressure washdown and chemical-exposure environments specifically, beyond the sealing most panel-mounted e-stops need.
