The Schneider Electric XB5AS8442 is a Harmony XB5 emergency stop push button (EMS/EMO) with a 40 mm red mushroom head, trigger-action mechanical latching, turn-to-release reset, and a single normally-closed (1NC) contact rated 10 A Ith. It mounts in a standard 22.5 mm panel cut-out and is sealed to IP66/IP67/IP69/IP69K.

The trigger-action mechanical latch stays engaged once pressed and only releases on a deliberate quarter-turn, meeting ISO 13850's requirement that an emergency stop cannot reset itself or be released by a second accidental push. The single NC contact carries positive opening per IEC 60947-5-1 Appendix K, so it opens mechanically even if the contact surfaces have welded, guaranteeing the stop signal on demand. With one NC contact only, this unit suits a single safety circuit input; choose the XB5AS8445 (1NC+1NO) where the control system also needs a separate monitoring or status signal.
