Selection Notes
IEC 60073 reserves red for a stop command, and the normally-closed contact matches that function: the circuit it feeds stays made until the button is pressed, so a broken wire or a disconnected head fails safe by opening the circuit. The positive-opening mechanism conforming to IEC 60947-5-1 Appendix K guarantees the NC contact separates mechanically even if the contacts have welded, which matters for any stop or interlock duty. Choose the unmarked head where the stop function is already obvious from red colour and station position; use the marked XB5AA4322 head where the legend needs to be explicit.
