The Schneider Electric XA2AT42 is an Easy Harmony XA2 complete emergency switching-off push button with a red, 40 mm plastic mushroom head and a push-pull reset. It switches 1 NC contact with positive opening and slow-break operation, mounting in a 22.5 mm panel cutout sealed to IP65.

Selection Notes

Positive opening on the 1 NC contact guarantees the circuit breaks mechanically even if the contact welds, the basis for using this as a genuine emergency-stop function rather than general switching. Push-pull reset only requires an axial pull to release the mushroom, which is faster to operate than the turn-to-release action but gives no lockable key-release control over who resets it. Choose the XA2AS542 turn-to-release variant on the same 40 mm head where a more deliberate reset step is preferred.
