Positive opening on the 1 NC contact guarantees the circuit breaks mechanically even if the contact welds, the basis for using this as a genuine emergency-stop function rather than general switching. Turn-to-release reset requires a deliberate twist before the mushroom can pop back out, reducing accidental resets compared with a push-pull mechanism. The compact 30 mm mushroom diameter suits tighter panel layouts; choose the XA2AS542 40 mm variant where a larger, easier-to-hit head is preferred, or XA2AT42 for push-pull reset instead of turn-to-release.
