The Schneider Electric VW3M5A12 is a plastic connection kit for building the holding-brake cable of a BCH16 servo motor in the Lexium 16D range. It comprises one connector and two wiring pins, so the brake cable is assembled on site rather than purchased preassembled. It fits the 0.1-0.75 kW BCH16 motor frames.

Selection Notes

The VW3M5A12 is the brake-only counterpart to the VW3M5A11 power kit, supplying one connector and two wiring pins sized for the brake coil circuit, and is used together with the power kit on brake-equipped BCH16 motors rather than as a substitute for it. Choose the preassembled VW3M5A12R05 cable instead when a standard 5 m brake cable is sufficient and on-site crimping is not wanted.
