Description

The TPCDIO17 is a Schneider Electric TransferPacT plug-in I/O module with a genset-start output and an alarm output, each rated 5 A at 250 V AC or 30 V DC. The start output includes a time-delay capacitor that prevents dry-cranking by holding the start signal until the controller calls for the generator, and runs it through the cool-down period after the normal source returns; the alarm output flags phase-rotation faults, transfer failures, a stuck micro-switch or an internal error.

Wire the genset-start output directly to the generator's remote-start terminals to avoid a separate start-delay relay, and route the alarm output to a remote annunciator or BMS point so a transfer failure or phase-rotation fault is flagged away from the panel.
