The Schneider Electric TA25D4L2504TPE is a 4-pole TransferPacT automatic transfer switch rated 250 A at 400 V AC, built to change the source of supply between two AC networks without interrupting a standby or life-safety load. The 4-pole TA25D4L2504TPE also switches the neutral along with the three phases, which is the configuration to choose when the two sources are separately earthed (for example two independent TN-S supplies) and the neutral itself must be broken during changeover. Its LCD controller displays source status, the active contact position and alarms locally and is operated from the front push-buttons, which is useful where staff need to read the changeover state without opening the panel. Within the 250 A frame, this 250 A setting shares its enclosure footprint with the other current ratings built on the same frame, so the panel cut-out does not change if a different rating from the same frame is specified instead. The 10 kA during 0.5 s | 15 kA during 0.1 s short-time withstand current lets it be installed directly downstream of an upstream breaker sized to that let-through level, without extra current-limiting fuses, and the AC-33B utilization category confirms it for uninterrupted-duty source changeover.
