The status LED plus mechanical flag on the RXG12BD give two independent ways to read contact state: the LED needs the 24 V DC coil energized, while the flag works even with the relay unpowered, which matters when troubleshooting a dead control circuit. The DC coil drops out at just 0.1 x Uc, a lower threshold than the AC-coil variant in the same family, which matters if the DC supply sags under load. At 10 A/250 V AC and 2500 VA switching capacity, it is sized for contactor coils and small motor-starter loads on a 24 V DC control loop. The DNV marine approval, alongside the standard CE/UL/CSA set, qualifies this variant for shipboard or offshore control panels.
