- Description
The Schneider Electric LXM32ICAN is a CANopen DS402 / CANmotion control-unit board for the Lexium 32i integrated servo drive range (0.6-2.2 kW), adding 2 safety discrete inputs, 4 logic discrete inputs and 2 logic discrete outputs over M12 CANmotion, M12 CANopen and RJ45 Modbus connectors. It carries an integrated Safe Torque Off function rated SIL 3 / PL e in an IP65 housing weighing 0.636 kg.

Selection Notes
Choose the LXM32ICAN over the LXM32IECT control unit when the motion network runs CANopen DS402 or CANmotion rather than EtherCAT — the two boards are not interchangeable, since each exposes a different fieldbus connector set (M12 CANmotion + M12 CANopen here versus M12 EtherCAT on the EtherCAT variant). Both of its 2 safety discrete inputs route directly to the drive's integrated Safe Torque Off function, so a SIL 3 / PL e safety circuit can remove torque without an external safety relay or contactor.
