- Description
The Schneider Electric BMH0701P16F2A is a Lexium 32 BMH servo motor delivering 1.2 N·m continuous stall torque at up to 8000 rpm maximum mechanical speed. It pairs with the LXM32.U60N4 or LXM32.D12N4 servo drive, draws 1.78 A continuous stall current from a 480 V three-phase supply, and ships with a keyed shaft and a 3 N·m holding brake. The IP54-rated motor mounts on a 70 mm international-standard flange.

Selection Notes
The BMH0701P16F2A is dual-rated for two LXM32 drive sizes: with the LXM32.U60N4 it delivers 1.2 N·m continuous torque at a 3000 rpm nominal speed and 350 W nominal output; with the larger LXM32.D12N4 it delivers 1.4 N·m at a 5000 rpm nominal speed and 700 W nominal output, so the drive pairing, not the motor frame, sets which point you get. The 3 N·m holding brake is sized to hold the rotor at standstill, not to dynamically stop a moving load, which makes this variant the one to specify on vertical or overhung axes; an unbraked BMH motor in the same frame covers horizontal axes without that requirement. The keyed shaft end transmits torque directly without relying on a friction clamp.
Applications
Within the Lexium 32 line, this torque and speed class suits small pick-and-place arms, label and converting axes, and other motion stages that need a brake to hold position while the LXM32 drive is powered down. The 70 mm flange and keyed shaft keep it mechanically interchangeable with other BMH motors in the same frame for mixed-axis machine designs that share a common mounting pattern.
