- Description
The Schneider Electric BCH18MM1523CF6C is a 1500 W Easy Lexium 18 (BCH18) servo motor rated for 7.16 N·m continuous stall torque at 2000 rpm nominal speed. It mounts on a 130 mm Asian standard flange, draws 8.24 A continuous stall current from a 220 V supply, and ships with a holding brake and carries a 23 bits optic multi turn encoder. The IP67-rated motor pairs with the Lexium 18 (LXM18) servo drive family.

Selection Notes
At 7.16 N·m continuous stall torque and 8.24 A continuous current, the BCH18MM1523CF6C fits light-to-medium load axes inside the 130 mm flange frame; the 21.48 N·m peak stall torque only covers brief acceleration, not sustained running. The multi-turn optic encoder tracks absolute position across several shaft revolutions, so the axis does not need a reference move after every power cycle. The 20.0 N·m holding brake keeps the shaft from drifting with power off, which is why this variant is the one to specify on vertical or overhanging loads; horizontal axes with no load drop risk can use the unbraked version of the same frame instead. The 1.0 kW BCH18 variant is the step down in the same 130 mm frame; the 3.0 kW BCH18 variant moves to the larger 180 mm flange.
Applications
Within the Lexium 18 line, the BCH18MM1523CF6C is sized for higher-inertia indexing axes, winding and cutting stations, and conveyor or palletizing drives where the larger frame and current rating absorb more load without derating. Its 130 mm flange and 1500 W continuous rating keep it in the same mechanical footprint as its sibling motors, so an LXM18 drive sized for this power level can be reused across the family without a mechanical redesign.
