- Description
The Schneider Electric BCH18MF04332F5C is a 400 W Easy Lexium 18 (BCH18) servo motor rated for 1.27 N·m continuous stall torque at 3000 rpm nominal speed. It mounts on an 80 mm Asian standard flange, draws 2.6 A continuous stall current from a 200...240 V supply, and ships with a holding brake and carries a 23 bits optic incremental encoder. The IP67-rated motor pairs with the Lexium 18 (LXM18) servo drive family.

Selection Notes
At 1.27 N·m continuous stall torque and 2.6 A continuous current, the BCH18MF04332F5C fits light-to-medium load axes inside the 80 mm flange frame; the 4.45 N·m peak stall torque only covers brief acceleration, not sustained running. The incremental optic encoder reports position within one revolution only, so the controller needs a homing move after power-up unless an external absolute reference is added. The 3.0 N·m holding brake keeps the shaft from drifting with power off, which is why this variant is the one to specify on vertical or overhanging loads; horizontal axes with no load drop risk can use the unbraked version of the same frame instead. The unbraked version of this motor is the lighter option on horizontal axes that do not need a holding brake.
Applications
Within the Lexium 18 line, the BCH18MF04332F5C is sized for small pick-and-place arms, label and vision-inspection indexing, and light conveyor or feed axes where the duty cycle is high but the load inertia is low. Its 80 mm flange and 400 W continuous rating keep it in the same mechanical footprint as its sibling motors, so an LXM18 drive sized for this power level can be reused across the family without a mechanical redesign.
