- Description
The Schneider Electric BCH18MD01332F5C is a 100 W, 0.32 N·m continuous-torque Easy Lexium 18 BCH18 servo motor on the 60 mm flange, drawing 1.1 A continuous stall current. A 23-bit incremental encoder and a 2.0 N·m holding brake are both built in, making this the braked choice for vertical or load-holding axes that still only need relative position feedback.

Selection Notes
Adding the 2.0 N·m holding brake to the 60 mm-flange, 100 W frame raises net weight from 0.65 kg to 1.05 kg and rotor inertia from 0.16 to 0.22 kg.cm², but it lets the axis hold a load with the drive de-energized — the right trade for a vertical or gravity-loaded axis. Continuous stall current stays at 1.1 A, so the matching Lexium 18 (LXM18) drive channel does not need resizing versus the brakeless BCH18MD01332A5C. Because the encoder here is the 23-bit incremental type rather than the multi-turn absolute option on the CF5C-suffix motors, the machine still needs to home this axis at every startup, even though the brake preserves the mechanical position. Maximum mechanical speed is rated to 6000 rpm, double the 3000 rpm nominal speed used above, leaving margin for brief overspeed during deceleration moves. IP67 sealing and the shared two-connector power/feedback interface mean this braked 100 W motor drops into the same cabling and enclosure design as the rest of the Easy Lexium 18 BCH18 range.
