- Description
The Schneider Electric BCH18MB01332F5C is a 100 W Easy Lexium 18 BCH18 servo motor with 0.32 N·m continuous stall torque at 1.1 A continuous stall current. It carries a medium-inertia rotor (0.076 kg.cm²) on a compact 40 mm flange, a 23-bit incremental encoder, and an integrated holding brake rated at 0.35 N·m — suited to small vertical or load-holding axes on light machinery.

Selection Notes
At 100 W this is the smallest frame in the Easy Lexium 18 BCH18 lineup covered here, and like the rest of the M-series (medium inertia, 0.076 kg.cm²), it suits load-inertia-heavy axes such as small conveyors or indexing tables better than very fast, low-inertia point-to-point moves. Size the matching Lexium 18 (LXM18) drive to the 1.1 A continuous stall current, not the 3.9 A maximum permanent current, which only applies to short accelerating moves. The 0.35 N·m holding brake is worth the extra mass and cost on a vertical axis or wherever the load must stay put when the drive disables; on a horizontal axis with no drift risk, the brakeless BCH18MB0133CA5C on the same 40 mm flange saves weight and cost. The 23-bit incremental encoder is the standard choice when the machine always runs a homing routine at startup. Maximum mechanical speed is rated to 6000 rpm, double the 3000 rpm nominal speed the torque and power figures above are measured at, which leaves margin for brief overspeed on deceleration. The same two-connector power/feedback interface and IP67 sealing used across the Easy Lexium 18 BCH18 range apply here, so this frame drops into the same cable and enclosure design as the larger motors in the line.
