- Description
The Schneider Electric BCH18MB01332A5C is a medium-inertia Easy Lexium 18 BCH18 servo motor rated for 100 W continuous power. It delivers 0.32 N·m nominal torque at 3000 rpm (6000 rpm maximum mechanical speed), draws 1.1 A continuous stall current, and carries a 23-bit incremental encoder on a compact 40 mm flange without a holding brake.

Selection Notes
This medium-inertia BCH18 variant is the smallest frame in the family and pairs with the 100 W LXM18 servo drive at its 1.1 A continuous current rating — far below the 9.2-18.6 A continuous currents of the 1.5-3.0 kW BCH18 motors, so drive and cabling can be sized accordingly. The medium-inertia rotor (0.07 kg.cm²) suits low-inertia-ratio applications like small pick-and-place axes better than a low-inertia motor of the same power would, since the mismatch between motor and load inertia stays smaller. The 23-bit incremental encoder needs a homing move at startup; no multi-turn or brake option exists in this 40 mm frame. Peak stall torque of 1.12 N·m gives roughly 3.5x headroom over the 0.32 N·m continuous rating for acceleration bursts.
