- Description
The Schneider Electric BCH18LM3033CA6C is a low-inertia Easy Lexium 18 BCH18 servo motor rated for 3.0 kW continuous power. It delivers 9.8 N·m nominal torque at 3000 rpm (6000 rpm maximum mechanical speed), draws 18.6 A continuous stall current, and carries a 23-bit multi-turn absolute encoder on a 130 mm flange without a holding brake.

Selection Notes
This no-brake, multi-turn-encoder BCH18 variant matches the 3.0 kW LXM18 servo drive at its 18.6 A continuous current rating, the same drive class used by the incremental-encoder version of this 130 mm-flange motor. The 23-bit multi-turn absolute encoder keeps position reference through power cycles, so the axis restarts without a homing move — valuable on this higher-torque frame where re-homing under load takes longer than on the smaller BCH18 variants. No holding brake means the axis free-wheels once drive power drops; choose the brake-equipped 130 mm variant where the load must stay in place unpowered. Peak stall torque of 29.4 N·m gives headroom for acceleration bursts above the 9.8 N·m continuous rating, and the 7.63 kg.cm² rotor inertia is identical to the incremental-encoder version of this frame, so encoder choice alone does not change dynamic response. The 28 mm shaft and 130 mm flange are common to every 3.0 kW BCH18 variant, so the mechanical interface to the driven load stays the same regardless of brake or encoder selection.
