- Description
The Schneider Electric BCH18LM30332F6C is a low-inertia Easy Lexium 18 BCH18 servo motor rated for 3.0 kW continuous power with an integrated holding brake. It produces 9.8 N·m nominal torque at 3000 rpm (6000 rpm maximum mechanical speed), draws 18.6 A continuous stall current, and combines a 23-bit incremental encoder with a 130 mm flange.

Selection Notes
This brake-equipped BCH18 variant sizes to the 3.0 kW LXM18 servo drive at the same 18.6 A continuous rating as the non-brake 130 mm-flange version. Its 20 N·m holding brake is more than double the 6.5 N·m brake used on the 100 mm-flange BCH18 motors, matching the higher 9.8 N·m continuous torque and the larger overhung loads typical of this frame size. The 23-bit incremental encoder loses absolute position on power-down, so startup still requires a homing move even with the brake engaged — the multi-turn encoder version removes that step for applications that cannot tolerate it. Peak stall torque of 29.4 N·m covers acceleration bursts well above the 9.8 N·m continuous rating, and the brake assembly raises rotor inertia to 8.3 kg.cm² against 7.63 kg.cm² for the non-brake version of this frame.
