- Description
The Schneider Electric BCH18LH20332F6C is a low-inertia Easy Lexium 18 BCH18 servo motor rated for 2.0 kW continuous power with an integrated holding brake. It produces 6.37 N·m nominal torque at 3000 rpm (6000 rpm maximum mechanical speed), draws 13.2 A continuous stall current, and pairs a 23-bit incremental encoder with a 100 mm flange.

Selection Notes
This brake-equipped, incremental-encoder BCH18 variant sizes to the 2.0 kW LXM18 servo drive at its 13.2 A continuous rating, identical to the non-brake version in this power class — the brake adds holding torque, not current draw. The 6.5 N·m holding brake keeps a vertical or overhung axis from dropping when the drive is disabled, which the non-brake 2.0 kW BCH18 cannot do. The 23-bit incremental encoder gives fine closed-loop resolution but requires a homing move at every power-up, since it does not retain absolute position like the multi-turn variants in this family. Peak stall torque of 19.1 N·m leaves headroom for acceleration bursts well above the 6.37 N·m continuous rating, and the brake's added mass brings rotor inertia to 2.74 kg.cm², slightly higher than the non-brake version's 2.64 kg.cm².
