- Description
The Schneider Electric BCH18LH1533CF6C is a low-inertia Easy Lexium 18 BCH18 servo motor rated for 1.5 kW continuous power. It produces 4.77 N·m nominal torque at 3000 rpm (6000 rpm maximum mechanical speed), draws 9.2 A continuous stall current, and carries a 23-bit multi-turn absolute encoder plus an integrated holding brake on a 100 mm flange.

Selection Notes
This low-inertia BCH18 variant pairs with the 1.5 kW LXM18 servo drive at its matched 9.2 A continuous current rating, so drive sizing follows the motor's power class directly rather than the higher 28.8 A maximum permanent current figure. The 23-bit multi-turn absolute encoder keeps track of position through power cycles, which removes the need for a homing move after every drive power-up — useful on axes where re-homing under load costs cycle time. The integrated holding brake (6.5 N·m) keeps an overhung or vertical load from dropping while the drive is disabled, a function the non-brake, incremental-encoder BCH18 variants in this power class cannot provide. Peak stall torque of 14.3 N·m gives roughly 3x headroom over the 4.77 N·m continuous rating for acceleration bursts, and the 2.21 kg.cm² rotor inertia keeps the low-inertia frame responsive for dynamic point-to-point moves.
