- Description
The Schneider Electric BCH18LH15332F6C is an Easy Lexium 18 BCH18 servo motor rated for 1.5 kW continuous power. It delivers 4.77 N·m continuous stall torque at 3000 rpm (max mechanical speed 6000 rpm), draws 9.2 A continuous stall current, and mounts on a 100 mm flange with a holding brake. Peak stall torque reaches 14.3 N·m for short acceleration bursts, and the 23-bit incremental encoder with IP67 sealing suits enclosed motion-control axes on a matched LXM18 servo drive.

Selection Notes
This is the low-inertia (L) build of the 100 mm BCH18 frame, so it favors fast acceleration and deceleration over sheer inertia-matching mass — use the 2.09 kg.cm² rotor inertia figure above, not the housing dimensions, when checking the load-to-rotor inertia ratio for the driven axis. The 23-bit incremental encoder needs a homing move after every power-up; choose the multi-turn version of this frame if the application cannot tolerate a re-reference cycle. The holding brake (6.5 N·m) keeps a vertical or suspended load from dropping when drive power is removed; skip it for horizontal axes that do not need power-off holding. Size the matching LXM18 servo drive to the 9.2 A continuous stall current, not the 14.3 N·m peak stall torque, which only applies for short acceleration bursts.
