- Description
The Schneider Electric BCH18LD0233CF5C is a Lexium 18 servo motor in the BCH18 family, rated for 0.2 kW continuous output at 3000 rpm with 0.64 N.m nominal torque. It mounts on a 60 mm flange with a 14 mm keyed shaft with an integrated holding brake for vertical-axis load retention. Position feedback comes from a 23-bit optical multi-turn encoder, which retains absolute position across power cycles without a homing move.

Selection Notes
The BCH18LD0233CF5C delivers 0.64 N.m nominal torque and 0.2 kW continuous power through a 60 mm flange; step up to the 100 W or 400 W frame in the same Easy Lexium 18 BCH18 line if the load inertia or torque margin calculated for this motor comes out short. The 23-bit optical multi-turn encoder tracks position through power loss, so the axis does not need to re-home after every power-up — pick the single-turn incremental variant instead when the machine already re-homes on start and the lower-cost encoder is preferred. This is the brake version: the 2.0 N.m holding brake holds the load in place whenever the drive is de-energized, which the non-brake variant does not provide.
Applications
At 0.2 kW continuous output, the BCH18LD0233CF5C fits compact pick-and-place heads, small conveyor and labelling axes, and other light-duty Easy Lexium 18 motion axes within its 6000 rpm mechanical speed limit.
