The Schneider Electric ATS490D75Y is a soft starter from the Altivar Soft Starter ATS490 range, built to ramp asynchronous motors smoothly from a 208-690 V AC supply. In normal duty it carries 75 A continuous (62 A in heavy duty) and drives up to 37 kW at 400 V. It integrates Safe Torque Off, native Modbus TCP/EtherNet/IP, and IP20 protection for enclosure mounting.

Selection Notes

The 75 A normal-duty rating covers motors up to 37 kW at 400 V; where the load runs a more demanding duty cycle, the heavy-duty curve drops to 62 A for motors up to 30 kW. The 400% Ie for 13 s overload profile sets how long the starter tolerates a stalled or jammed load before tripping, relevant when sizing against pump or conveyor startup torque. The integrated Safe Torque Off input meets SIL 1 / PL c without an external safety contactor on the motor branch.

Applications

The ATS490 range targets pumps, fans, compressors, conveyors, mixers, cutters, grinders, and crushers where a controlled, torque-limited start reduces mechanical and electrical stress at startup.
