The Schneider Electric ATS430D88S6 is a three-phase Altivar Soft Starter from the ATS430 range, rated 88 A continuous on a 208-600 V AC supply. Torque control starts and stops asynchronous motors from 22 to 55 kW depending on mains voltage, backed by an internal bypass and a Modbus serial RJ45 port for monitoring. The IP20 enclosure and 24 V DC digital inputs suit direct panel mounting without added shielding.

Selection Notes

At 88 A, the ATS430D88S6 covers motors from 22 kW at 230 V up to 45 kW at 400 V or 55 kW at 500/525 V, so the right mains voltage tap matters more than a current margin when sizing the motor. The single-duty rating (no separate heavy-duty current) and single-phase-loss, under-current and starter-thermal protections make it suited to steady-torque loads such as pumps, fans, compressors, conveyors and mixers rather than high-cycle crushing or grinding duty. For motors above 55 kW, move up to the next current size in the ATS430 range; below 22 kW, a smaller frame avoids an oversized starter.
