Selection Notes
The (B6)A(B6)C 4-quadrant circuit means this converter can both drive and regeneratively brake the DC motor, feeding energy back to the AC line instead of dissipating it in a braking resistor, which is the deciding factor over a 2-quadrant B6C unit for hoist, crane, or winder duty with frequent reversing loads. The integrated D420/210 field rectifier supplies the separate field winding of the DC motor, so no external field supply is needed for a standard separately excited motor.
