Selection Notes

The RF680A's switchable polarization is the deciding factor over the fixed-linear RF642A: pick circular when tag orientation on the read zone is unpredictable (mixed-orientation cartons, random pallet loading), and linear when tags are consistently oriented and the extra range from linear polarization matters more than orientation tolerance. Its wider 90° x 77° radiating angle covers a broader read zone than the RF642A's 75° x 70° at a similar 3.5 dB gain. The RP-TNC male connector mates directly with the antenna, no pigtail.
