The Siemens 6GK5793-8DJ00-0AA0 (ANT793-8DJ) is a SCALANCE W IWLAN antenna with vertical-horizontal dual polarization and 18 dBi gain in the 5.15-5.875 GHz band, focused into a narrow 17° by 17° directional beam. Rated IP67 and -45 to +70°C with a 104 N wind-load rating, it mounts on a wall or mast through two N-female connectors for long-range outdoor point-to-point WLAN links.

Selection Notes
The narrow 17° by 17° beam and 18 dBi gain on the ANT793-8DJ concentrate energy over distance, so it fits a point-to-point backhaul link between two masts rather than blanket coverage of a work area. Its 1.7 VSWR and 30 dB front-to-back ratio limit back-lobe interference when several access points share the same 5 GHz channel plan nearby. The IP67 housing and 104 N wind-load rating at 220 km/h suit an elevated outdoor mount where the wider-beam, lower-gain SCALANCE W antennas would leave unwanted spillover into adjacent cells.
