The Siemens 6GK5766-1GE00-3DA0 SCALANCE WUM766-1 is an IWLAN client module with two permanently installed 2.4/5 GHz radios supporting IEEE 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6) at up to 1201 Mbit/s gross per radio in 2x2 MIMO. It connects over a PoE-capable M12 Gigabit Ethernet port and takes redundant 24 V DC through an M12 L-coded connector, with an IP65 enclosure rated -30 to +60 degrees C and two N-Connect ports for external antennas.

Selection Notes

This client-only variant carries a single SSID and two N-Connect antenna ports, so it pairs one wired Gigabit segment to one WLAN uplink rather than serving as a multi-client access point. The redundant 24 V DC input plus PoE on the same M12 Gigabit port lets it run from either a local supply or the switch upstream, which matters on machines where the PLC cabinet supplies 24 V but the network cabinet only carries PoE. The IP65 rating and -30 to +60 degrees C range support direct machine-frame or vehicle mounting without an additional enclosure. Choose the access-point variant in the same enclosure family when multiple wireless clients need to associate to one radio instead of a single client uplink.
