The Siemens SCALANCE WUM763-1 (6GK5763-1AL00-3DA0) is a Wi-Fi 6 (IEEE 802.11ax) IWLAN client module with an integrated digital input and output for machine signal integration, delivering up to 1201 Mbps gross data rate over two 2x2 MIMO radios. It has four Gigabit RJ45 ports, a CLP slot for iFeatures, and redundant 24V DC supply in an IP30 enclosure rated -30 to +60 degC.

The WUM763-1's integrated 1x digital input and 1x digital output (24V DC, 0.5A) let a machine signal - a door interlock or a status lamp - travel over the same wireless link as PROFINET traffic, which the plain client variants in the W72x/W73x range do not offer. Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) and 2x2 MIMO push the gross data rate to 1201 Mbps and four Gigabit RJ45 ports replace the single 100 Mbit/s port on the older W721-1/W722-1 clients. Pick the WAM763-1 instead when the device needs to operate as the access point side of the Wi-Fi 6 cell rather than the client side - the two share identical radio and port hardware.
