The Siemens 6GK5526-8GS00-3AR2 SCALANCE XR526-8C is a Layer 3-ready managed Industrial Ethernet switch with 24 RJ45 10/100/1000 Mbit/s ports plus 2 SFP+ 10 Gbit/s uplinks (26 ports total), powered from a single 230 V AC supply. It operates as a PROFINET IO device with conformity class B diagnostics and MRP/HRP ring redundancy in a 1U 19-inch rack enclosure rated IP20.

This is the 230 V AC single-supply version of the XR526-8C with Layer 3 routing held in reserve behind a KEY-PLUG XR-500 license; budget for the key if the site needs inter-VLAN routing rather than pure switching. The 2x SFP+ 10 Gbit/s uplinks carry backbone traffic from several access switches without becoming the bottleneck. Pick the 24 V DC variant for a DC-bus cabinet, or the dual-supply AC variant where the switch must survive a single circuit loss.
