The Siemens SCALANCE XC124 6GK5124-0BA00-2AC2 is an unmanaged 24-port Fast Ethernet switch for PROFINET Class A networks with no PoE. All 24 RJ45 ports run 10/100 Mbit/s, and a redundant 24 V DC input accepts a wide 9.6-31.2 V range through a single fused terminal block. An error-signaling contact reports supply loss for cabinet monitoring.

Selection Notes
With 24 RJ45 ports in one compact housing, this switch fits star or line topologies with more connected devices than a stacked pair of 8-port XB108/XCM108 switches, at the cost of no PoE and no fiber uplink port. The -40 to +70 °C rating runs 10 °C hotter than the DIN-rail PoE switches in the range, useful in enclosures with poor ventilation. Pick a SCALANCE XR124 rack switch instead when the installation needs 19-inch mounting rather than DIN rail.
