Selection Notes

This is the dual-supply variant of the XR524-8C: two independent 230 V AC feeds, so the switch keeps running if either circuit is lost. Choose it over the single-supply variant whenever the switch carries a PROFINET line that cannot tolerate a power-related outage; pick the single-supply version where the cabinet only has one AC circuit available. Layer 3 routing (RIPv2, OSPFv2, VRRP) is present in firmware but stays inactive until a KEY-PLUG XR-500 is fitted.
