The Siemens 6GK5432-0GR00-2AC2 SCALANCE XC432 is a managed Layer 3 Industrial Ethernet switch with 32x 10/100/1000 Mbit/s RJ45 ports and no SFP slots. It is a fanless PROFINET IO device with integrated static and dynamic IP routing, redundancy protocols, VLAN, DHCP server functions, and an error signaling contact with a select/set button for diagnostics.

Selection Notes

The XC432 puts all 32 ports on fixed RJ45 with no SFP slots, so it is the choice for a copper-only access cell that needs the largest port count in this compact XC-400 family without paying for fiber uplinks it will not use. It keeps the same base-unit Layer 3 routing, HSR/PRP redundancy, and broadcast/multicast/unicast limiter as the XC416-8 and XC424-4, so the switch to a smaller port count only makes sense if fiber SFP+ uplinks are required - in that case, step down to the XC424-4 or XC416-8. Its 43.2 W rated power loss and fanless enclosure match its siblings, so thermal design in the cabinet does not change with port count.
