The Siemens 6GK5206-2BS00-2AC2 SCALANCE XC206-2SFP is a managed Layer 2 Industrial Ethernet switch with six 10/100 Mbit/s RJ45 ports and two pluggable SFP slots supporting up to 1000 Mbit/s, rated for -40 ... +70 °C operation. The SFP slots let the same base unit take multimode, single-mode, or copper transceivers depending on the uplink.

Selection Notes
Choose the 2BS00 SFP variant over the fixed-SC 2BD00 model when the uplink medium is not yet fixed or when a gigabit link is needed — the SFP cage takes any compatible Siemens transceiver, so the same switch part number covers multimode, single-mode, and copper uplinks by swapping the module instead of the switch. The -40 ... +70 °C rating and C-PLUG configuration slot carry over from the XC206-2, so it fits the same outdoor-cabinet and fast-swap use cases.
