The Siemens 6GK5102-1GS00-2AC2 SCALANCE XCM102 is an unmanaged Industrial Ethernet media converter with one 100/1000 Mbit/s RJ45 port and one 100/1000 Mbit/s SFP slot, plus a signaling contact and redundant 24 V DC and 24 V AC power inputs. It is rated IP20 for -40 to +70 degC operation and mounts on 35 mm DIN, S7-300, or S7-1500 rail.

Selection Notes

The redundant 24 V DC and 24 V AC power inputs mean a failure of one feed does not drop the fiber-to-copper link, which is why this converter carries the marine classification set (ABS, DNV, GL, LRS, PRS, RINA, CCS) that plain industrial switches in this catalog do not. The SFP slot accepts either a 100 Mbit/s or 1000 Mbit/s transceiver, so reach and fiber type are set by the SFP module chosen rather than by the converter itself. The signaling contact reports link status back to a control system, useful when the converter sits in an unmanned enclosure.
